Good for used hockey gear

I've bought a few pairs of hockey skates and some goalie pads here over the last year. This time, I got a pair of Bauer hockey skates. They came in good shape, just like the last pair. Shipping was quick too, around 4 days to my place in Ohio. Always reliable.

Good value for a first buy

This was my first time buying here. I was looking for a good deal on a baseball glove for my kid and found a nice used Wilson A2000. It was listed at a really good price, and I got 10% off shipping on my first order. The glove was in better shape than I expected for the price. Saved a good chunk of money compared to buying new. It arrived in about 6 days. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Decent price, slow ship

I bought a used golf driver recently. The price was pretty good, probably 60% off retail. The driver itself was in the condition described, no surprises there. Shipping took about 8 days to reach me in Florida, which felt a bit long. I also tried to use a sign-up credit but had a small glitch at checkout; customer service eventually sorted it out, but it added an extra day to the process. Overall, it was a solid purchase for the money.

Solid experience buying a lacrosse stick

I ordered a used Epoch Dragonfly lacrosse stick from SidelineSwap. The ordering process was straightforward; I found what I wanted pretty fast using the filters. The seller responded quickly to my questions about the stick's shaft flex and provided an extra photo. Shipping took 5 days to reach Denver, which was reasonable. The stick arrived well-packaged and was exactly as described, with only minor cosmetic wear that was pictured in the listing. I appreciated the tracking updates. It was a smooth transaction from start to finish, and the stick has been great for practice. Authenticity felt good, seemed legit.

Thinking of buying a golf driver. What's the deal with returns if it shows up and isn't what I expected? Is it a hassle?

M Marcus 2 months ago
I returned some shoulder pads last month because they were too small. The process was pretty straightforward. Just follow their instructions and make sure you hit the deadline for requesting the return.

It's generally okay, but you gotta make sure you read the listing closely first. If it's a 'not as described' situation, they're usually good about it. If you just change your mind, it might be trickier depending on the seller.

Hey, I'm looking at some used hockey skates on here. How do I know they're not fakes or anything? Like, is there any way to tell if it's legit gear?

W Wendy K. 2 months ago
From what I understand, SidelineSwap doesn't officially authenticate every single item like some other sites do for luxury goods. But sellers build up reputations, and you can usually see their ratings and reviews. That helps a lot.

Yeah, I've bought a bunch of stuff and never had an issue. It's more about checking the seller's history and asking questions directly if you're worried. Most sellers are just regular athletes like us.

I'm in Miami, how long does shipping usually take for a lacrosse stick? Need it before my season starts next month.

S Sophie Romero 2 months ago
It really depends on where the seller is located and the shipping option they use. I've had stuff show up in 3 days, and other times it took over a week. You can usually see an estimated delivery in the listing.

Yeah, it's not Amazon Prime fast. Check the seller's city and maybe ask them directly for a more accurate estimate if you're on a tight schedule. Sometimes sellers are quick, sometimes not so much.

How does SidelineSwap compare to Play It Again Sports? Is it usually cheaper here or what?

D Dana Q. 1 month ago
Oh for sure, usually much cheaper here, especially for specific, higher-end gear. Play It Again can be hit or miss on quality and price.

I find SidelineSwap has a much wider selection, especially for specific brands or older models you can't find in Play It Again. Prices are often better too, especially with sellers willing to negotiate a bit.

My kid needs some new hockey gloves, do they ever have free shipping deals for existing users or is that just for first-timers?

T Tara 2 months ago
Free shipping is usually a new user thing, like on your first order. I haven't seen a lot of free shipping promos for everyone else unless it's a special site-wide event.

I think I got free shipping once during a holiday sale, but it's not common. Mostly it's for new accounts or sometimes specific seller promotions. You just pay for shipping most of the time.

Does anyone know if that 'first purchase' discount applies to everything? I'm eyeing a specific baseball glove and want to make sure I can use it.

C Chris 1 month ago
Yeah, usually those first-time codes work on most items. Just make sure you enter it at checkout. They're usually one-time use promo codes.

I got 10% off my first order of ski boots last winter. It should apply, but sometimes there are exclusions. Check the fine print if you got it in an email.

Is it possible to haggle on prices for items, or are the prices pretty much fixed?

D Daisy H. 2 months ago
Yeah, totally! Most sellers are open to offers. There's usually a 'Make Offer' button. I've gotten some good deals by negotiating a bit.

C Cody Doyle 2 months ago
I always throw out an offer if I'm interested. Sometimes they say no, but often they'll counter or accept. Doesn't hurt to try.

Can I use multiple coupon codes at once? Like if I have a referral credit and some other promo?

M Megan Ito 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one promo code at a time. I tried combining a referral with a discount once and it didn't work. It's either-or usually.

E Elena Carter 2 months ago
I've never been able to stack codes. It's usually just one per order. You might be able to get a seller to give you a bundle discount though, which is separate from site-wide promos.
